Sarah Talyancich Physiotherapist and Clinical Pilates Instructor. Director

Sarah is a highly experienced and qualified physiotherapist and clinical pilates clinician with over 20 years’ hospital and private clinic experience both in New Zealand and overseas. She graduated from the Auckland University of Technology School of Physiotherapy in 1996 and later completed her Pilates training with the highly-regarded Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI) in London.

Sarah has worked as a travelling course presenter with APPI throughout the UK and Ireland and founded and established the pilates department at one of London’s top private orthopaedic hospitals; King Edward VII in central London; where she was Superintendent and Deputy Superintendent of Physiotherapy.

Sarah’s passion for rehabilitation, both in the Neurological and Musculoskeletal field, inspired her to continue postgraduate training in Clinical Pilates in London and New Zealand. She is a certified Polestar Pilates Clinician, with international renowned Polestar Pilates.

Sarah has developed a special interest and has particular success with clients who suffer from back pain, spine pain, shoulder pain and hip pain. She also has a special interest in Real Time Ultrasound Imaging to facilitate correct muscle recruitment to optimize rehabilitation which will reduce clients pain and improve functioning. Sarah has also treated many pregnant women and find pregnancy physiotherapy and pregnancy Pilates of the up-most importance in their pain management.

Sarah returned from London in 2003, founded Bodyreform and has been the Director since August 2005.

Maria Keane Physiotherapist and Clinical Pilates Instructor

Maria graduated from University College Dublin in Ireland in 2013.  Upon graduating Maria has worked in private practice in Ireland gaining experience in post-surgical rehabilitation, sports rehabilitation and neurology/care of the elderly.

Maria has a special interest in sports rehabilitation having worked in numerous sporting teams both here in New Zealand and in Ireland, including Athletics  and Gaelic Football.  Maria believes in and is a strong advocator in functional rehabilitation optimizing return to sport and injury prevention.

Since graduating Maria has completed courses in Dry Needling, Pilates and Mulligan concepts in manual therapy.  She looks forward to furthering her pilates qualifications with Bodyreform.

Outside of Physiotherapy Maria spends her time exploring New Zealand, tramping with friends, Yoga and it is her goal to master a surf board in her time here!

Laura O’Sullivan – Physiotherapist and Pilates Instructor

Laura graduated fro University College Dublin in Ireland 2014. She made the move to Auckland over two years ago, and has worked in private practice, gaining experience in musculoskeletal, spots and occupational injuries and rehabilitation.

Laura has completed courses in Dry Needling, Pilates and Mulligan concepts in manual therapy.  She looks forward to furthering her pilates and real-time ultrasound imaging qualifications with Bodyreform.

In her spare time Laura enjoys playing Gaelic Football, running and being outdoors.  At the weekends you’ll find her exploring all there is to see in New Zealand with her friends.

Catherine Gambaro Physiotherapist and Clinical Pilates Instructor

Catherine graduated from AUT with a Batchelor of Health Science (physio) in 1999. In 2003 Catherine furthered her studies to receive a post-graduate Diploma in Manipulative Therapy and later in 2004 a Certificate in Acupuncture from the University of Otago. Catherine has clinical experience working in private practise in the South Island and at Dunstan Hospital for ten years before returning to Auckland. Soon after having her son, Catherine developed a keen interest in Yogalates as a way to achieve and maintain better health, strength and well-being. She is now a fully trained and certified instructor and taught for two years before making the move back to Auckland. Since then she have been based in private practice in Auckland and a couple of winter seasons in Wanaka to keep her love of skiing alive.

Catherine combines her experienced hands-on therapy and acupuncture skills with clinical exercise rehabilitation and posture / movement retraining to help overcome pain issues.
